It Mattered To This One

It has been a while since I wrote a gratitude list. I have talked about it and not followed through. Recent events have reminded me that every single moment is a gift and taking time to connect with all of you, even for a moment each day, is so important. I deeply love and appreciate this human experience, this life, and all of you.

This morning I am deeply grateful for the life and love of Jim Hosler. His quiet, loving way of being in this world has changed the course of life for literally thousands of people. My entire experience is what it is because Jim decided to make a difference.

He never needed to be in the lime light or the center of attention. For all the years I have known him he was the dependable, strong guy in the back of the room. He offered music, hugs and playful smiles.

He kept the song sheets for every course since the begining and could tell any student what celebration song had been played for them no matter how long ago it was.

He made it possible for the Center for Life Enhancement to remain open since 1992. He carried the financial burden when the center didn't support itself.

He never lost his sense of humor even when his body gave out on him. I visited him at the rehabilitation center right before Christmas and we watched old Saturday Night Live episodes together.

Goodbye to Jim's body is not goodbye to Jim's energy or his spirit. He will be there in the back of the room for every TLC course. He will be on the golf course and on a snowy mountain top in Switzerland.

He will be in our hearts.

I love each and every one of you with all of my heart and soul.
